OVERVIEW

Yoga Nidra is a meditation technique that puts you in a deep relaxation state corresponding to deep sleep; however, you are still awake. That is why it is also called yogic sleep. Research has shown that 1 hour of yoga Nidra is equivalent to 3 hours of normal sleep. In a nutshell, we put our body to rest and enter deep relaxation, and we start working with the deep levels of our being.

And today, our Yoga Nidra is dedicated to the Sacral chakra. The second chakra is in charge of our creativity, sensuality, our manifested desire, confidence, and our ability to indulge in pleasure.

The Sacral chakra is located between your tailbone and navel area, and it governs your reproductive organs, your sense of taste, and the tongue.

During our Yoga Nidra meditation, we set a vow or affirmation called a sankalpa. It’s a statement that you tell yourself in the present tense, with your name three times. Since today’s Nidra is about Svadhishthana, it can be a sankalpa to help you unleash the magnificent power of your sacral chakra.

For example, “My creativity flows like a waterfall” or “I, Name, am confident in my sensuality and sexuality”.

If you don’t have an affirmation yet, simply tell yourself, “I, Name, am opening my sacral chakra” or “My, Name's, sacral chakra is open”.

In the meantime, if you want to manifest anything else, please feel free to do it, too.

I hope today’s practice will help you unwind, relax, connect with your sacral chakra, let go of any inhibitions, blocks, restrictions, limiting beliefs - anything that has been holding you back from being your true self.
